Yelp is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Services team. This team is focused on providing seamless and client-focused transactional support to our employees and internal stakeholders in offices globally. Playing a key tactical role throughout the employee lifecycle from hiring and onboarding to developing and off-boarding, we deliver on operational excellence while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
As the People Operations Coordinator, you will work in an integral role on People Services team and interact regularly with other People functions including Recruiting, People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Development, Payroll and Legal. Where You Come In:
You will partner closely with other People functions to execute operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity.
You will process employee changes and terminations including document generation, notifications, and systems updates.
You will participate in system testing tied to new programs, systems or process rollouts.
You will support with reporting, auditing, and data integrity initiatives.
You will be the first point of contact for employee questions and employment verification requests; triage and escalate issues to other members of the People Operations team, if appropriate.
You will assist with onboarding new hires (system entry, paperwork validation, background check administration).
You will document, maintain and communicate core People Operations processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.
You will identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging systems and tools to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.
You will run specialized ad-hoc reports out of Workday for the Business Partner team.
You will continue to drive further adoption of Jira and Workday.
You will create and maintain employee files.
You will maintain people data in Workday globally.
You will review and update self-serve resources (wiki, training material, etc.).
You will document employee issues, performance management, etc. in Workday/Employee file.
You will execute people business processes relating to entire employee lifecycle in Workday.
What it takes to succeed:
You have 2-3 years experience in an HR administration, operations, benefits administration, or generalist role.
You have experience with Workday and JIRA.
You have experience in G Suite products (highly preferred); strong Excel skills are a plus.
You excel with attention to detail.
You have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You have high ethical standards with demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
You have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
You have effective oral and written communication skills.
You have excellent organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to prioritize effectively and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
You are proactive with resourcefulness and initiative to ask questions coupled with the ability to self-manage work.
You have good judgment, knowing when an issue needs to be escalated.
You have a client service mindset with the desire to go above and beyond to support the team and organization.
You have an ability to identify and recommend opportunities for continuous process improvement.
You have a Bachelor’s degree, would be a plus.
